Section 5: Explain the Reason for this Appeal

Good Evening

I’m writing on behalf of ( Katrina’s Place) regarding the recent determination that our property at 9692 Bessemore Detroit Mi 48213 Parcel Number:19002119 does

not qualify for a city property tax exemption for non profit. Exemption. I was told in one response that my organization purpose didn't align to what was on my 501c

which I didn't understand because I listed the exact purpose on the application when I applied. After reaching out to the city I was then told through a email that I

was missing a signature on the application and this once I was denied, they are not allow to review it and I would have to file an appeal.

We would appreciate clarification on the specific reason(s) for the denial and any documentation or corrective steps that may allow us to reapply or assist with this

appeal the decision.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,

Michelle Dixon
