October 18, 2024 Re: Margaret Dr. Area Canal Dredging Project Explaination for the Reason for this Appeal As a homeowner, | have been a part of the Campbell Subdivision Association since 1977. Over the past several years our Association has had many meeting in reference to dredging the canal. This has been an ongoing problem for homeowners on the canal not being able to access the lake by boat because of the muck build up over time. The sole purpose of this project as it was explained to us, was to benefit the canal owners by doing the dredging. | was personally told at one of our meetings that | did not need to be involved because | am considered lakefront property, although | have property on the canal | do not need the canal to access the lake. My dock/boat are positioned in front of my house on the lake. | have not signed any petitions or agreements to this project. Taking all this into consideration, the non usage of the canal to access the lake, and the financial burden it would have on me as a retired single homeowner, I'm requesting to withdraw my name from this Special Assessment. BROWN, DPA GOVERNOR LANSING DIRECTOR Section 4: Explain the Reason for this Appeal The sole purpose of dredging the canal is so that those who live on the canal have access to the lake. I'm considered lake front property. Although | have property on the canal | do not use or need access of the canal to get onto the lake. My dock is on the lake and | have a paddleboat and a small fishing boat. The part of the canal that is being dredge is 18' from my seawall, and the problem isn't so much the canal but beyond the canal opening which go into the lake. Taking this into consideration, the non usage of the canal to access the lake and the financial burden it would have on me as a retired single person homeowner, I'm requesting to withdraw my name/property from this special Assessment. March 26, 2024 Re: Margaret Dr Area - Canal Dredging Special Assessment District Dear Hamburg Township, I'm submitting this fetter to the Township Board so that | may submit my appeal to the MTT with my right to remove my support from this project. | attended all the meetings and my undestanding of dredging the canal was the sole purpose for those who live on the canal to have access to the lake. | do not live on the canal, | live on the lake as my property is considered lakefront, although 1 do have some property that runs along the canal. | do not have a need of the canal to get onto the lake by boat or use the canal for docking my boat. At our last association meeting it was pointed out to me that my property was determined lakefront and that | would not be comsidered to be part of the canal dredging process, so therefore, taking this all into consideration, | would like to remove myself from this project.
