GRAND RIVER AVE., LANSING, MI 48906 Stanford Brothers Investments LLC, MICHIGAN TAX TRIBUNAL Petitioner, SMALL CLAIMS DIVISON v MTT Docket No. 25-002772 City of Dearborn, Presiding Judge Respondent. Patricia L. Halm ORDER VACATING AUGUST 19, 2025 ORDER SETTING ASIDE PETITIONER’S DEFAULT ORDER GRANTING PETITIONER’S MOTION TO SET ASIDE DEFAULT The Tribunal has considered the file in this case and finds that it entered an order setting aside Petitioner’s default on August 19, 2025. The Tribunal erred in the entry of this order, as it failed to address the Motion to Set Aside Default filed by Petitioner on August 7, 2025. Respondent has not filed a response to the motion. Further, the Tribunal finds that Petitioner was held in default because it did not sign the petition and pay the full required fee for the filing of the petition. Having now filed a signed petition and paid the full required filing fee for the petition, Petitioner has complied with the Tribunal’s orders, as required by TTR 237. As such, the Tribunal finds good cause to grant the motion and set the default aside. Therefore, IT IS ORDERED that the August 19, 2025 Order Setting Aside Petitioner’s Default is VACATED. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Petitioner’s Motion to Set Aside Default is GRANTED Entered: September 15, 2025 By _____________________________ cs/jc PROOF OF SERVICE I certify that a copy of the foregoing was sent on the entry date indicated above to the parties or their attorneys or authorized representatives, if any, utilizing either the mailing or email addresses on file, as provided by those parties, attorneys, or authorized representatives.
