BROWN, DPA GOVERNOR LANSING DIRECTOR Section 4: Explain the Reason for this Appeal PAVING AUTOMOBILE ROAD HAS NO BENEFIT TO US AS OUR HOME IS ONLY ACCESIBLE VIA LAKEWOOD RD; WHERE OUR DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE IS TO OUR HOME. WE NEVER USE AUTOMOBILE ROAD FOR ANYTHING AS WE CANNOT ACCESS OUR HOME FROM THAT ROAD. WE DID NOT SIGN THE PETITION TO PAVE AUTOMOBILE ROAD BECAUSE THERE IS NO BENEFIT TO US. WE DID RECEIVE THE LETTER OF NOTICE TO APPEAR FOR THE DALTON TOWNSHIP VOTE, BUT WE RECEIVED THAT LETTER TWO DAYS AFTER THE MEETING HAPPENED. | AM SURE IT IS NO FAULT OF THIERS, BUT THE UNRELAIABLE USPS. IF WE WOULD HAVE RECEIVED ON TIME, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO OBJECT THE PROPOSAL. THIS IS OUR PLEA TO NOT CHARGE US THAT ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNT, AS TIMES ARE HARD ENOUGH, WE ARE JUST TRYING TO AFFORD TO LIVE. WE HAVE LIVED AT THIS PROPERTY SINCE 2009 (16-YEARS) AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH AUTOMOBILE ROAD BEING GRAVEL, AND NEVER, NOT ONCE, HAD THE NEED TO DRIVE DOWN THAT ROAD. IN 16 YEARS, WE HAVE NEVER USED AUTOMOBILE ROAD FOR ANYTHING, PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER OUR PROPERTY OWNERSHIP TO PAY FOR THIS SERVICE THAT WE WILL NEVER USE OR BENEFIT FROM. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND EMPATHY! Section 5: Jurisdictional Issues Did you protest the special assessment at the hearing held to confirm the special assessment roll? STATE OF MICHIGAN GRETCHEN WHITMER DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS MARLON I. [0] Yes [¥] No If Yes, what was the date of the hearing held to confirm the special assessment roll? If No, explain: WE RECEIVED THE HEARING NOTICE TWO DAYS AFTER THE MEETING OCCURED. Fee Information: A fee of $100.00 Is required for the filing of a Special Assessment Appeal. Fmt VAT o8)2tfprs— Checl_4 1300 ~( 4 160.00 EnCLoseDd
