CONFIDENTIAL - NOT ENCRYPTED March 8, 2026 Chad & Lisa Barksdale 81 N Parker Rd Dexter MI 48130 This property was purchased May 30, 2025, for a price of $600,000, as noted on in the township’s and county’s records, see attached. The price paid for the residence was based on the age, condition and other factors about the house. The purchase price represents the true market value of the residence. Since the purchase price is the current market value, the Assessed value should not be higher than 50% of the purchase price. As stated on the Notice of Assessment, “State Equalized Value is the Assessed Value multiplied by the Equalized Factor, if any. State Equalized Value must approximate 50% of the market value”. Further in the Notice of Assessment it states “ Your Taxable value cannot be higher than your Sate Equalized Value”. The value that my property should be Assessed and Taxed at is $308,100. This is calculated by: (50% of the purchase price $600,000 in 2025) $300,000 times the 2026 inflation rate multiplier 1.027 ($8,100) which equals $308,100. Also, there were several other properties sold in the surrounding area with similar square footage and lot sizes with an average sales price around $500,000. These properties are: 881 N Steinbach Rd Dexter sold for $550,000, 1095 N Parker Rd Dexter sold for $575,000, 8532 Hathorn HI Dexter sold for $406,500, 8123 Cypress Cir Dexter sold for $365,000, 989 Marshall Ct sold for $514,999, 1515 N Steinbach Rd sold for $337,500, 11240 Trinkle Rd Dexter sold for $600,000, 2141 N Parker Rd Dexter sold for $577,000, and 9360 Dexter Chelsea Rd Dexter sold for $553,000. These sales confirm that a fair market value was paid for this property and that the Assessed and Taxable values should be set as noted above. Thank you Chad Barksdale
