She stated the value went up again and there continues to be water in the yard causing her two sump pumps to run continuously. The house was built on a spring and because of the water, Manko does not know what the value of her property may be. She informed the Board that she has not had water in her basement in 10 years. Board of Review Page 7 March 12, 2025 PETITIONS #35 & 36 (33-21-01-07-352-006 & 33-21-01-07-352-007) Joseph Kosik, representing Tag De LLC, appealed the assessed and taxable values of 3800 & 3700 W. Saginaw Street. A Rent Roll Report was provided. ACTION Moved by Gallup, supported by Sparks, to deny both petitions. Motion approved by acclamation. PETITION #37 (33-21-01-14-205-002) Overton informed that the building being assessed on this parcel was demolished during 2024 and is requesting the Board of Review adjust the assessed and taxable values to reflect land value only. Cunningham recommended an assessed value of $86,800 and a taxable value of $81,261. ACTION Moved by Spark, supported by Gallup, to reduce the assessed value to $86,800 and the taxable value to $81,261. Motion approved by acclamation. PETITION #38 (33-21-01-07-177-009) Osmany Lopez-Casares, 3411 Pickwick Place, stated the property taxes were high and wondered if the it being a rental prior to his purchase is the reason. It was explained that the taxable value was uncapped and that is reason for the change in property taxes. He stated he purchased the property for $175,000 because the home needed updating. ACTION Moved by Orth, supported by Gallup, to reduce the assessed and taxable values to $87,500. Motion approved by acclamation.
