I am requesting a reduction in the assessed value of my property based on its recent purchase price. | purchased this property on January 1, 2024, for $59,000 in an arm's length transaction. This sale reflects the fair market value of the property as of the date of purchase and represents what a willing buyer and willing seller agreed. The current assessed value does not align with the actual market value established by this sale. In this case, the purchase price is an accurate indicator of what the property is worth. Additionally, | have reviewed comparable sales in the area, and this sale price is consistent with other similar properties’ values. Maintaining an assessment higher than the purchase price results in an unfair and excessive tax burden that does not reflect the property's real value in the market. For these reasons, | respectfully request that the assessed value be adjusted to reflect the purchase price of $59,000. Thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing this petition.
