SECTION 5:

Explain the Reason for the Appeal

{ received your Notice of Assessment letter on February 28, 2024. This is in regarding parcel

number 38-000-08-10-301-00-03.

After receiving this letter,

| could not figure out how you can justify an increase of 57,500, from

the difference of what

| have paid for this home and the increase in just 5 months living here. in

September 19th 2023,

| purchased this home for 167,000 dollars.

In which

| did not arrive to

live in it until Oct 20th 2023.

| live on a fixed income, recent widower, and a senior citizen and the reason

| moved up here

from Alabama was my wife had just passed away and my only relative living is my son.

[dont

mind to pay what

| paid for on my home it the right thing to do, but to gouge me in just 5 months

of living here to increase my heme to 224,500 that is a 35% increase. NOBODY gets that kind

of return off from stocks or dividends.

You have listed this as a “market adjustment”. Dont you think with 2 professional realtors know

exactly what the market is and what it can bear when it comes to property and homes in this

area? This house was earlier put up on the market and trying to sell it for 6 years and never

sold until now.

This should tell you that the pricing of this house that they listed 5 years ago was

too high.

| received my tax bill for summer taxes.

It was listed as residential-improved.

| haven't made

any improvements on the house except a new roof which

| would not have had to if they would

have done their job. Previous owners pulled a permit for the roof in 2017 to re-shingle it...Who

inspected it? 2024 they had to pull off all the plywood and install new because there was no Ice

Guards on the roof and used only 1 layer of felt paper only. Also supervisor was asking me

about the permits back in 1990 or 1992. He wasn't’ sure about the date of the home either.

Mentioned the files were disorganized when he arrived.

| asked him about the easement on my

property and did not know about that either.

Like

| said in my above letter of appeal, | just arrived in Oct and the supervisor was asking me

questions

| am not aware of nor

| knew anything about. Yet did not have any problem on raising

my taxes on a double wide mobile home? He wasn't sure if it was a modular or a double wide

Page 5

When

| wrote to the BOR there claim came back denied. NO PROOF wrote any supporting

evidence.

All they had to do was to look up Zillow, realtor.com, and other realtor sites and also

the listing of the agent in which done a assessment of the property’s around that area. They

have more insight as to wither or not property values have gone up or down.
