Section 5: Explain the Reason for this Appeal
On or about March 7, 2025 the subject property was heard by the March Board of Review. Property
owner was provided testimony as to the actual condition of the subject property. The Office of the
Assessor presented that the value that was determined was based on the sales comparison model as
|
required however, there was no consideration given as to the actual condition of the property. This
|
means that no individual look at the subject property was conducted.
Testimony was provided by the owner that the report provided at time of purchase was flawed but no
consideration was given by the Board of Review. The issues with the subject property that exist are
relevant to structuring (flooring) and such that would change the condition in a manner that would reduce
the assessed value. The cost to cure these issues as significant and should be considered.
This is one parcel, but may show up as two, as an NEZ-H has been approved for this property.
