Section 5: Explain the Reason for this Appeal

I Purchased the property in April of 2021 and during the craziness of Covid I did not File the Property Transfer Affidavit and Principle Residency Exemption for

this Property. I paid my mortgage and property taxes on time through an escrow account the entire time I have owned the property (4/2021 to present). I Filed

both forms with the Detroit City assessor's office and both forms where processed on 5/8/2026. I received a tax adjust bill from the city on 6/11/26 and I called

the city treasurer to apply the PRE for the previous 3 tax years of 2022-2025, that was denied by the city treasurer and I was told to file an MTT appeal for the

Denied PRE years.

Section 6: Jurisdictional Issues

List the year(s) denied:

2022-2025

Indicate who denied the exemption under appeal:

County Treasurer of Equalization
