Assessment Increase Far Exceeds Comparable Properties. For 2026, similar homes in my area experienced ~$6,000 increases in SEV, ~$3,000 increases in TV.

However, my assessed value increased by $14,000, which is more than double the typical increase for comparable homes. My property is assessed approximately

$20,000 higher than similar nearby homes. My Taxes Are Significantly Higher Than Comparable Homes. Comparable properties pay approximately: $3500 for Sum

and $1500 for Win. My 2025 Taxes were $3900 for Sum and $1500 for Win. My home improvement was replacement of the 60 years old aluminum siding that

was

rusting and not available on the market anymore. The replacement was Vinyl siding. According to Michigan Law this is considered maintenance and not

improvement
