STATE OF MICHIGAN MICHIGAN TAX TRIBUNAL SMALL CLAIMS DIVISION 834 Sherman LLC, Petitioner, v City of Grand Rapids, Respondent. MTT Docket No. 26-001610 PETITIONER'S MOTION TO SET ASIDE DEFAULT Petitioner, 834 Sherman LLC, respectfully moves the Michigan Tax Tribunal to set aside the default entered on September 1, 2026. The Tribunal's September 1, 2026 Order of Default states that Petitioner did not submit a copy of the notice giving rise to the appeal, as required by TTR 279, and directed Petitioner to submit the missing notice within 14 days. The omission of the notice was inadvertent. Petitioner has now submitted the City of Grand Rapids 2026 Notice of Assessment, Taxable Valuation, and Property Classification for the subject property at 834 SE Sherman St., Parcel No. 41-14-32-151-008, thereby providing the notice giving rise to the appeal. Petitioner respectfully requests that the Tribunal accept the submitted notice, set aside the default, and allow this appeal to proceed on the merits. Respectfully submitted, 834 Sherman LLC By: Hunter Pizzo, Authorized Representative PO Box 980208, Ypsilanti, MI 48198 734-662-6133 | Hunter@bealcapital.com Signature: /s/ Hunter Pizzo Date: September 17, 2026
