Please Explain Your Response to this Appeal:

Petitioner applied for a poverty exemption and was denied by the Board of Review for exceeding income limits. The petitioners household has 2 in the household

with income reported of $1601.00 +$1480.00 = $3081 per month or $36,972 a year. the income limit for 2 in the household is $21,150. Even if we considered 1

income in the family her income exceeds the income limit to qualify for a poverty exemption by the township guidelines. Her income is $19,212 per year and

income limit to qualify is $15,650. She talked to someone at county who just told her she would qualify, but based on the townships poverty exemption

guidelines she does not meet the income and therefore the Board of Review denied her based on exceeding income limits.
