Section 4: Issues Being Appealed (check all that apply)

True Cash and Taxable Value

Section 5: Explain the Reason for this Appeal

This property is grossly over assessed. It has been vacant for 30 years and is uninhabitable. Every inch of the property is in disrepair and filing, from the foundation

to the roof. All of the electrical, plumbing and heating systems are obsolete and non functional. The house needs to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up. The

City Assessor did a field inspection of this property in 2021. Subsequent to that, after an appeal was filed with the Michigan tax tribunal, the City assessor agreed to

a TCV of $ 140,000, which it stipulated to at the 2023 MTT hearing. Immediately thereafter, the City reneged on this agreement, reassessing the property at

$221,400 (TCV $442,800) in 2024. The property has had no improvements since the 2021 field review and the city has not done a field review since, despite being

ordered to by the 2024 BOR. Please see attachment A for additional detail.

The filing fee is based on the greater of the State Equalized Value or Taxable Value in contention. If you are appealing more than one parcel, the parcel with the

highest State Equalized Value or Taxable Value in contention will be used to determine your filing fee, plus $25.00 will be added for each additional parcel being

appealed, not to exceed a total filing fee of $1,000.

the State Equalized Value or Taxable Value in contention is: Filing Fee is:

$100,000.00 and under $125.00

$Over $500,000.00 $300.00

If your property is NOT residential property (see MCL 205.762) and

the State Equalized Value or Taxable Value in contention is: Filing Fee is:

* Plus $25.00 for each additional parcel, as indicated above.

If your property is NOT residential property and the State Equalized Value or Taxable Value in contention is $100,000.01 or greater the appeal does not qualify for
